...The same situation can be found in his The Bride Stripped Bare by Her Dogs, Even (1998-2006) which was inspired by Marcel Duchamp’s The Bride Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors, Even. Indeed, a serious dilemma. However, that dilemma is probably something luscious, incomparably valuable to him. As a matter of fact, he finds in the parasite strategy a totally different routine from that of auto-destruction, and embeds in his own the Other’s world that he has gotten control of. How can such a process be achieved?
それは、マルセル・デュシャンの『彼女の独身者たちによって裸にされた花嫁、さえも』に着想をえた“The Bride Stripped Bare by Her Dogs, Even”(1998年~2006年)についても当てはまろう。たしかに深刻なジレンマだ。しかし、おそらく彼が掛け値なしに望んでいる甘美なジレンマだと思われる。というのも、彼はパラサイトに自滅とは別の回路を見出し、そのなかで彼が取り込んだ他者の世界を自家薬籠中のものとするのだから。それは、どのようにして成し遂げられるのだろうか。
